LDEA Arrests Two in Sinoe Drug Seizure Valued at Over LD$11 Million

Monrovia, Liberia — April 10, 2026: The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Sinoe County Detachment, has arrested two Liberian nationals following a plain-view operation that resulted in the seizure of narcotics valued at LD$11,070,293.

The operation was conducted on April 7, 2026, at approximately 2:30 AM, leading to the arrest of Sam Max Dixon, 37, an Action Agent assigned in Sinoe County, and Hanson Zulu Jr., 35.

Dixon was arrested in the BQ Community with narcotics and a single-barreled pistol. The operation subsequently led to the arrest of Zulu Jr. in Gold Camp in connection with the same drugs.

According to the LDEA, both suspects have been processed and forwarded to court for prosecution in accordance with Liberia’s drug laws.

The LDEA reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s zero-tolerance stance on illegal drugs, warning that individuals involved in drug-related offenses will face the full weight of the law.

The Agency further emphasized its commitment to protecting communities and combating illicit drug trafficking and substance abuse across Liberia.
