LDEA ARRESTS NIGERIAN NATIONAL WITH 16 BOXES OF TRAMADOL IN ZWEDRU

Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County — October 25, 2026:The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), through its Grand Gedeh County Detachment, has arrested Samuel Okeke, 43, a Nigerian national residing on Moses P. Harris Street in Zwedru, for alleged possession of illicit drugs.

Okeke was arrested on October 22 at approximately 4:00 p.m., with 16 boxes of Tramadol valued at LRD 330,000 (approximately US$1,736.80).

The LDEA reiterates its commitment to combating drug-related offenses and enforcing Liberia’s drug laws.
