Four Dismissed LDEA Officers Made First Court Appearance
"This successful interdiction is a testament to the renewed vigilance of our officers. We are sending a clear message to international cartels: Liberia will not be a playground for your illicit trade. Our borders are being watched 24/7."

— Hon. Fitzgerald T.M. Biago, Director General
Monrovia, Liberia – May 21, 2026: The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) confirms that four dismissed officers who were previously assigned at the Robert International Airport (RIA), who were dismissed and forwarded to the Ministry of Justice for criminal prosecution on May 5, 2026, appeared today at the 13th judicial circuit court in Margibi County.

The officers were dismissed following a full-scale investigation conducted by the LDEA Board of Internal Inquiry and Professional Standards Division into their alleged involvement in tampering with the fruits of the crime(cocaine) that were seized from defendant Quita Dolo on July 12, 2025, who is currently on trial for drug trafficking charges.

The LDEA maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against corruption, misconduct, and any criminal act that compromises national security and public confidence. The Agency emphasizes that no officer is above the law and remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.

The dismissed officers are: Joe Logan, former Commander (RIA), Abdullai Sheriff, Chief of Operations, and Lovetee Flowers, Department. Chief of Operations, and Menkpapuo Duo, Operatives. The LDEA continues to closely monitor the matter and will fully cooperate with the Ministry of Justice throughout the prosecution process.
