Monrovia, Liberia – July 16, 2026 – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), in collaboration with the AME-Zion Graduate School of Professional Studies, has officially commenced a one-month specialized capacity-building training program for thirty (30) officers of the Agency.— Hon. The training, which runs from July 15 to August 15, 2026, is designed to strengthen the professional competencies of LDEA personnel and enhance the Agency’s operational effectiveness in combating illicit drug trafficking, transnational organized crime, and related offenses.
Participants will receive intensive instruction in key areas of modern law enforcement, including criminal investigation, report writing, evidence handling, courtroom testimony, and intelligence gathering. These subjects are fundamental to conducting professional investigations, ensuring successful prosecutions, and upholding the rule of law.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, LDEA leadership described the training as a significant investment in the Agency’s human capital and reaffirmed its commitment to building a highly skilled, disciplined, and professional workforce capable of responding to the evolving challenges of drug enforcement in Liberia.
Also speaking at the launch of the program,Rev.Dr Emmanuel F.Johnson Ph.D. President of AME-Zion University commended DCP Biago's commitment to academic excellence and visionary leadership,highlighting his longstanding affiliation with the institution.He encouraged the participating officers to approach the training with discipline,dedication and integrity,emphasizing that professionalism and ethical conduct are indispensable to effective law enforcement national service.
The Agency also expressed appreciation to the AME-Zion Graduate School of Professional Studies for partnering with the LDEA to deliver this specialized training, emphasizing that such collaborations contribute to institutional development and improved service delivery.
