On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at approximately 1:30 PM, officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) assigned at the Tienii Check Point, during a routine search, arrested two female suspects.
The suspects, both Sierra Leonean nationals, are identified as Aminata Bah, 33, and Isata B. Koroma, 32, residents of Belliar Park, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
During the body search, officers discovered two hundred eighty-one (281) strips of Tapentadol (Tramadol) and one (1) plastic bag of marijuana weighing 47.4 grams, concealed in their various bras and bikinis.
The total street value of the seized substances is estimated at LD 711,500, equivalent to approximately USD 3,952.77.
The suspects are currently in custody and are being accorded due process of law. They will be formally charged and forwarded to court for prosecution in line with the drug laws of the Republic of Liberia.
