On March 22, 2026, at approximately 3:30 PM, officers of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Nimba County Detachment, during a routine search at the Ganta–Guinea Port of Entry, intercepted a Renault truck traveling from Guinea to Liberia,
bearing license plate#AF233808, which had on board
Thirty-five (35) boxes of Tramadol along with five scripts concealed in bags of cassava dust were discovered by LDEA officers that belonged to a suspect identified as Daniel Saye, a 23-year-old Liberian resident of Sanniquellie City.
In connection with the seizure, the truck driver, Kafoumba Kamara, and suspect Daniel Saye are currently in LDEA custody undergoing further investigation, pending prosecution. The offense is non-bailable under Liberia’s revised drug law.
The confiscated narcotics have an estimated street value of One Million One Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand Five Hundred (L$1,166,500) Liberian Dollars
